Strengthening Accountability, Learning and Patient Safety Across South Carolina
In 2026, the South Carolina Hospital Association (SCHA) offered healthcare organizations across South Carolina opportunities to participate in Just Culture Certification training at a significantly reduced rate through grant funding supporting workforce development and patient safety initiatives.
Just Culture provides a framework for creating a fair, consistent approach to accountability while encouraging organizations to look beyond individual blame and identify opportunities to improve systems, communication and organizational learning.
Through these training opportunities, healthcare professionals explored how Just Culture principles can support psychological safety, employee engagement, error reporting, patient safety and a stronger culture of learning.
2026 Training Opportunities:
SCHA offered Just Culture Certification training in both in-person and virtual formats, providing healthcare professionals with opportunities to engage in expert instruction, facilitated discussion and scenario-based learning.
